In the business world besides companies which grow overnight, there are those which grow gradually but with sound steps. The light for those companies which grow very rapidly is likely to soon die away.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had official conversation with three Presidents within 10 days. He gave messages of importance while taking important messages as well. As a Turkish citizen, I really feel proud of attending such visits.

I hereby congratulate the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on rocketing Türkiye’s reputation in international arena to top level by collaborating with all institutions of the State in good harmony and executing successful operations and stable policies.

On January 14 the Prime Minister visited Spain to attend the forum “Civilisations’ Ally Friendship Group”, hosted by the Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero, with the attendance of 350 participations from 80 countries and 30 NGOs and international organisations.

The message of the Spanish Prime Minister was:

“We aim to stimulate the majority who wish to live in peace. We must build bridges between differences.”

On same day, Prime Minister Erdoğan met Juan Carlos, the King of Spain, whose message was:

“I really wanted to meet you. I am very pleased to be invited to Turkey. I will visit your country.”

January 21: For the first time in its history, the President of Sudan has visited Turkey. Ömer Hasan Ahmed El Beşir, the Sudanese President, was hosted in Ankara by Abdullah Gül, the President of the Republic of Turkey. On next day the Sudanese delegation held a meeting in Istanbul with the Turkish businessmen.

The message of El Beşir, the Sudanese President was:

“We give our word to show special interest in the investments made by Turkish entrepreneurs. Turkey is bordering seven countries. The plan of the Sudanese businessmen is not only access to Turkey, but also to enter in the European and other markets via Turkey.”

On January 23, 2008 the Greek Prime Minister visited Turkey after 49 years. Karamanlis visited the tomb of Atatürk, walked on the Aslanlı Yol, put wreath to Atatürk’s mausoleum and made one-minute homage.

The message of Karamanlis was:

“The EU membership of Turkey will strengthen the European continent.”

All these messages are very important for Turkey. Valuated on strategic, economic and cultural basis, their importance arises from their nature of being direct messages to both Turkey and the rest of world.

Currently, Turkey has a good reputation with the USA and the European countries. The emerging trend in the Middle Eastern countries is to consider Turkey as spokesman of the Islamic world and a consultant ensuring reconciliation with the Western countries. The Turkic Republics, on the other hand, have been taken, are still taking, Turkey as their model and example, which they are being proud of.

Abdullah Gül, President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Prime Minister and the government are working in stability and compliance and made Turkey an authority in the world policy. We, as businessmen and citizens adoring our homeland, are acting with awareness of our duties and responsibilities. We support the government as much as we can; we create new employment areas, pay our taxes, duly perform our duties at NGOs and represent our country abroad in the best possible way and manner.

At this stage, Turkey has to protect the national unity and cooperation in the most powerful manner. We will be strong as long as we maintain our national unity and look after our ethnic and cultural wealth under any circumstances whatsoever. Alevis, Kurds, Syrian Orthodox people, Jews, Circassian, Laz people, Abkhaz people, Bosnians, Armenians, Arabs, Bulgarians … People who live in Turkey and are proud of being a Turk, will bring our country to prosperous future, hand in hand. Do not ever forget …
