The research "Top 500 IT Companies of Turkey" conducted 13th time this year by Interpromedya was realized in Istanbul at the night of July 16th. Telecom companies ranked in the first three on the list putting forward the net sales revenues for 2011 of the firms active in the field of information technologies in Turkey. While Genpa ranked seventh with its turnover of 2.1 billion TL, Turk Telecom ranked first with its turnover of 11.9 billion, Turkcell ranked second with a turnover of 9.4 billion TL, and Vodafone third with a turnover of 4.7 billion TL.
Genpa earned championship in Mobile Phone category according to top 500 IT companies Turkey 2011 research.
The market to exceed 30 billion dollars this year
The data resulting from the RESEARCH on the IT market in Turkey showed that information technologies market involving BT software, software and services grew by 12.7 percent; and that communication technologies market involving telecom equipment and carrier services shrank by 1.9 percent. Interpromedya authorities estimate that the information technologies market will grow by 6 percent in 2012 to exceed 30 billion dollars.
