The awesome acceleration of profitability marked the Capital 500 survey. The Companies increased their profitability by 22,5 percent, demonstrating the highest increase in the club of giants since 2008.  No doubt, Capital 500 companies have a major role in such rise since they undertook significant profitability works in the last year. There is no change, however, in the first two in the league of giants. Tüpraş and OMV Petrol Ofisi share the first 2 ranks as in the last year, leaving the 3rd rank to Turkish Airlines.

While GENPA ranked 52nd in the general order in Capital 500 Turkey survey of last year, it reached 39th degree with net sales of 2.738.228.292 this year.

Rapid increase in profits

The net sales of Fortune 500 companies rose by 11.2 percent in 2012 to 614 billion 977 million liras. Considering the fact that the growth in net sales of Fortune 500 companies was 22.2 percent in 2011 when GDP growth was 8.8 percent, it get clearer that the growth of Fortune 500 companies in 2012 did not slow down as much as that of the Turkish economy. In other words, Fortune 500 Turkey companies reached a growth of two and a half times in 2011, and five times last year, of GDP growth in Turkey.

While GENPA ranked 44th in the general order in Capital 500 Turkey survey of last year, it reached 36th degree with net sales of 2.738.228.292 this year. It was champion in the Electronic Telecommunication category.
