SPEAKING at the opening ceremony of the Virginia Economic Forum in Istanbul, Zeynel Abidin Erdem, the honorary president of the Turkish-American Business Association (TABA), said 10 US. companies affiliated with the forum are looking to invest in Turkey. As Erdem noted, U.S. companies will meet with 100 companies from different sectors. "1 hope they will find opportunities to invest in Turkey," Erdem said. "The information technology and defense industries are the main sectors that US. companies are focusing on," Erdem said. Noting that businessmen all around the world are looking for safe and peaceful investment environments, Erdem said Turkey provides the environment business people are looking for.
